Outsource My Life
Serious question now...
I posted this on twitter earlier today and got a few bites but I thought I'd try here as well.
Is there anyone in my network who is using a personal outsourcing service of some kind?
I'm looking for home services more than professional. The kind of service that can make appointments, schedule things to be done, contact people on my behalf etc. Some of it would be professional, but much would be home management tasks. Life is just far too busy sometimes and I'm thinking about trying this out.
I'm looking for ideas, recommendations and thoughts and advice you might have about doing this.
Feel free to get in touch with me personally at: glassbeed@gmail.com if you don't want to leave your comments in here.
Thanks muchly.

I have not thought about that. I guess the closest I've come is using Outlook or Jott.
As far as scheduling, I still use my calendar I get from the photography people, who do school pics.! Not techie at all.

Yes I use a life outsourcer.
Move to Asia and hire a full time maid for about $300/month
Cook, clean, iron, wash, shop, wash the car, pay the bills
The only thing you have to remember to do is pay her/him at the end of the month.

I spoke with BrickWorks in India about this. They do both personal/business, are bonded and cost about $20/hr for a decent assistant with a minimum of 20 hrs/week (I think) required.

Why go abroad when you can hire a virtual assistant right in your "backyard"? The hourly rate may be slightly higher (starting at $25), but most of the time there is no minimum required. Find more information at http://vamatchmaker.com/blog/

LOL.
Beleive me $300 is too high. I am in India and beleive me this is exorbitant for what you just mentioned!

Hi,
I heard an interesting CBC Radio show about outsourcing this summer. I thought it was DNTO but when I searched I found this on Spark. I haven't done any personal outsourcing but you never know.
