Podcasting, Blogging Exam Question

A question from the English exam I gave my grade seven and eight students this morning:

"How has podcasting, vlogging, and blogging changed the media, who gets to produce programs and whose voice we hear?"

Two answers:

".......now anyone can produce a podcast, blog or vlog and we hear many other voices and opinions. We hear voices from around the world and from people of different cultures, not just from our own society."

".....now that we have podcasting and blogging anyone can do it. You don't need to be some rich person in New York, you can produce from your own home. It has also changed how we can learn in today's society."

Do you think they get it?

These kids are 13 and 14 years old.......

Wait until they are twenty....
