Why is it, that when searching around, looking for new blogs to read (after another morning of relentlessly pruning my Bloglines account) on topics such as "knowledge," "information," "innovation," and the management of these fields, the grand majority of the blogs that come up are related to marketing and business and have nothing to do with schools, education, and learning?
What does this say about our society?

I just read your "About" section. What kinds of research are you doing into being literate in the 21st century? There was recently a big consultation here in Britain about what should be taught in English lessons to make students literate in the modern world. There's a little bit about it here: http://www.qca.org.uk/2586_15374.html but it doesn't look too enlightening to me!

Clarence, your post prompted me to consolidate some ideas related to networks and education design that I've been mulling over lately. It's at http://borderland.northernattitude.org/2006/06/11/an-internet-of-classrooms/
I enjoy your explorations the "new classroom".
