I made this statement last night in the Skyperview that Dean had set up and then regretted it as soon as it came out my mouth.
It is about the technology. It's all about what the technology allows us to do. The connections. The network. The perspective, the point of view that it allows us to acquire is priceless.
But it is not about technology by itself. I am not a coder or a developer of new technology. I am a teacher and a developer of new teaching techniques and classroom practices. As David Warlick has said before, "It is not about the light, it is about what the light allows us to see." (Apologies for any misquote)

I agree 100%. The technology, while useful, is simply the first step in a most longer and more complicated journey. We have no more idea of where the internet will take us than the first spanish explorers in California could have envisaged Hollywood.
