Podcasting for Children

An interesting article about more and more children's shows showing up on iTunes.

I like the word "craze"being used in the title of the article. Makes podcasting sound like a hula hoop or something instead of a change in the possibilities of communication, voice, and content.

Also an interesting stat:

" According to the Consumer Electronics Association, a quarter of U.S. households own an MP3 player. Seventy-one percent of those households have children, roughly half of whom are 12 years old or younger."

So what does that work out to? 10% of kids under 12 have access to an MP3 player? I know it is essential traveling equipment in my house with my two young boys. Mind you, living where I do, it is two hours to the nearest community and seven - eight hour trips in the van are relatively common....
